Got some questions?

We know that planning your wedding day is a big deal and you want to do it right. So here are some of the most frequently asked questions.

Take a minute to read through them and if you have any more, don’t hesitate to reach out. I want you to be as informed as possible so you can make the best choice for you.

What is your style of photography?

My style of working is relaxed, authentic and emotive and this shines through in the feeling you get from the images. I want you to look back at your photos and instantly remember how you felt.

I don’t want you to be distracted with awkward poses or cringeworthy set ups, so I don’t do anything of that. I’ll put you in nice light and let you be yourselves. I want to you have fun and connect with one other so it’ll be random conversations and craic when you’re out taking photos with me.

Just remember that your photographer is the person you’ll spend the majority of your day with so make sure you choose someone you can have fun with and are on the same wavelength.

      Where are you based?

I am based in Omagh, Northern Ireland and typically cover the top half of the country for weddings but I also love to travel, so you are getting married further afield, I would love to hear your plans.

How many weddings to you photograph per year?

It changes every year, but a good number for me is around 20. This means that I get to dedicate time to help you prepare for the big day, schedule a beautiful pre wedding couples session and work on your gallery and heirloom album after you’ve celebrated your wedding.

How many images do you include?

It varies from depending on the length of coverage. I’m a bit of an oversharer, so you will have plenty of images documenting the emotion and precious memories of your day. I don’t believe in withholding any images that add to the story of your day. During your day, in between portraits, you’ll normally find me laughing with your granny, ouhing and ahing over the little ones or keeping a sneaky eye on who’s gonna be the first guest to order a tray full of shots. All your images will be Hi Res print ready images, which can be instantly downloaded from your gallery.

      What is your turnaround time?

For weddings it’s typically 6-8 weeks and for family or couples sessions 2-3 weeks. This can depend on the time of year, with some periods being busy during wedding season and when the weather is good! We have to make the most of it when the sun shine here! I try to get your gallery to you as soon as possible while being sure to give time to each and every one of your images.

      What gear do you use?

I shoot with a mixture of Sony A7III and Nikon D750s. I like to keep things simple so I’ll generally wear two of my cameras all day with a 35mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.8. I’ll keep another camera handy if I want to use another lens. Weddings can be a fast paced environment and I don’t want to miss the moment switching lenses so I keep those two cameras on hand all day.  I primarily love to use natural light but when the occasion calls for it (like on the dancefloor) I will use a flash. I also have spare equipment in the car… just in case.

      Do you have insurance?

      Yes! I am insured.

      Do you do video?

No, but my sister-in-law Judith is a kick ass videographer and all round fun person so you can find her details HERE. We work really well together with the same relaxed, documentary approach.

What if we’re a bit camera shy?

This is usually the first thing couples tell me when we meet to chat over your wedding plans. It’s totally normal to feel awkward being photographed, which is why having a couples session before your wedding is such a good idea. You can see the craic HERE. It’s great to meet before your big day and get to know each other a little, connection and trust creates the opportunity for authentic and emotive images – and that’s what I’m all about.

But can I bring my dog along?

That’s a hells yeah from me.

Do you help with the planning part?

I can absolutely help you when it comes to planning your day. I can recommend fantastic local creatives to help you bring your vision to life and help to advise on your timeline and where are great spots for photos.

Are we going to be away from our guests all day taking photos?

Nope, not on my watch. I want you to be present and experience your wedding day with your nearest and dearest that you’ve invited to share with. We are more likely to take a few short portrait opportunities throughout the day to make the most of the light, the weather and your party time.

Do you also take family photos?

Yes, I absolutely do. I can advise when the best time to gather your family for photos will be. When it’s planned in advance we can work efficiently through your immediate family group photos.

      When should we book you?

The majority of couples books about 12-18 months in advance. Popular dates like Bank Holiday weekends can be booked further out so get in touch to check availability. Securing your date requires deposit of £200 and a signed contract, both can be completed online, so if you’re living abroad it’s straightforward getting your date confirmed. Unfortunately I cannot hold dates without this so booking on is a first come basis.

How can I check if you are available?

Simply fill out the contact form by clicking the button below and I will get back in touch with all the details you need. I can’t wait to hear from you.
