We usually use a few spaces in your home like living area, bedroom and baby's nursery. Choose comfortable clothing to wear in neutral colours, like a favourite maternity dress or luxe lounge wear. Morning time is usually the best time of the day for your baby but it's best if I arrive once baby is well fed, clean and comfortable. I bring along some simple outfits and wraps to use during your session so you don't have to worry about providing anything unless there is something particular you'd like to include like a special keepsake.
After documenting lots of new arrivals, there's a few tips I can offer to help you get the absolute most our time together.
The best time to schedule your newborn session is within the first two weeks of baby's arrival, however recovery time doesn't always allow for this - which is ok. It's important Mum feels well and comfortable to get in front of the camera too. It's important to me that your session feels relaxed, which is why I come to your home.
It's best to have your home warm to keep baby comfortable throughout any outfit changes and have any rooms you'd like to use tidy and clutter free.
