I love to photograph the journey we are all on. To freeze a moment in time so we can remember the sweet emotion later down the road. I’m a big believer of always trying to be present in the moment. I believe the little moments are just as important as the big ones.
I’ve always been a creative person whether it was decorating, gardening or some other project. I was one of those people who took a camera on a night out, back in the day before we all had smartphones.
I went to uni in Coleraine and completed a degree in Psychology thinking of pursuing a career supporting people. It was a dream for me to be by the coast everyday, especially on those stormy days when the waves crash up over the harbour!
I worked within the mental health sector right up until I took the plunge into photography as a career. I believe my interest in people and my empathy helps so much with building a connection with wedding couples and allowing them to feel relaxed and comfortable to allow me to see their true emotions.
I live in Northern Ireland with my husband David, I suppose you could say we’re childhood sweethearts after meeting in secondary school. There’s no on else I would rather annoy on a daily basis than him.
